“It didn’t work out, but suddenly I felt relieved… and then I felt guilty about it.”
To conclude the series on ‘Accepting What Is’, we will talk about this place where the heart knows something that the head has not yet agreed to hear:
That something is over – and that’s okay.
Sometimes relief comes not when we get what we wanted, but when we let go of what no longer serves us.
And that is much greater wisdom than accepting what we wanted.
And not because there is anything wrong with accepting what we want, quite the opposite.
It’s just that chasing after these has become our nature.
We are here to grow, to flourish, to expand the space where we breathe comfortably, ready to experience everything.
And then, this ability to let go of what no longer serves is a true virtue.
Our lives change every moment, even when it is not always visible. The only constant in our lives is change.
Occupations, places, principles and ideas and maybe even people who suited us in the past no longer serve us and may even be downright harmful.
Do we have the wisdom to let them continue on their path and shed them from us compassionately?
And more importantly, can we connect with a heart that feels comfortable with change and not let our head that is mostly full of external conditioning make us doubt the truth?
Try it, it can lead to at least one huge blessing – a real connection to the one who is most important for you to connect with – yourself.
And a question for you to conclude: Is there something that didn’t work out – but you feel inner peace about it?
